As a Network Marketer, when you try to sell your prospect on how great your company or compensation plan is, you lose out. People don’t like to be sold to, but they love to buy!

When marketing your MLM business opportunity, you want to get on the same page as your prospect, so you connect with them and build a relationship. By being on the same page as your business prospect, you’re actively working on eliminating any objections that may come up from your prospect.

The first thing you want to do when you telephone your MLM prospects, is to introduce yourself in a friendly manner. You’ll also want to give them a "heads up" as to why you’re calling. Finally, ask them if it’s a good time to talk. What this does, is that it eliminates any rejection from the beginning, and allows you to control the conversation, since you’re asking the questions.

Getting To Know Your MLM Prospect

3. Recreation – What does your Home Business prospect do for fun? Is it something you understand, enjoy and can relate to? Could you strike up a conversation with your prospect based on this topic alone? We all hear of how major deals are sometimes started on the golf course.
4. Motivation – What are the core motivations that get your prospect jumping out of bed every morning.

You don't want to come out as someone who's asking one too many questions, and you don't just want to ask questions for the sake of it. As long as you place emphasis on your Home Business prospect and appear friendly and genuine, your prospect will not feel threatened by you. With each question and answer, you are getting closer to your Home Based Business prospect's core desires.

The reason for getting to know all this information is so that you can mirror your prospect and speak in their terms.
